Despite the layoffs, Vestas emphasizes that it will continue to maintain the core operations at its Lindø plant, which will remain a key production site for the nacelles of its flagship product, the V236-15.0 MW offshore wind turbine.

Currently, Vestas employs approximately 7,000 people in Denmark.
