May 27, 2026

Indian wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon unveiled its full-year financial report for fiscal 2026 on Monday. The company posted operating revenue of 166.79 billion Indian rupees (approximately 1.741 billion US dollars), a year-on-year increase of 54%. Its net profit reached 31.63 billion rupees (around 330 million US dollars), rising 53% year on year, marking a strong business performance.

Suzlon achieved a record-high wind turbine delivery volume in India this fiscal year, with total installed capacity delivered hitting 2,456 MW. Deliveries in March alone stood at 830 MW.

According to Group CEO Ajay Kapoor, the company held an order backlog of nearly 5.9 GW in India by the end of fiscal 2026. Its flagship S144 turbine model has secured cumulative orders close to 9 GW.

Suzlon also rolled out two major strategic plans. It will scale up engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services, which the company regards as a key growth driver for itself and the broader wind industry in the years ahead. Currently, Suzlon has identified developable sites totalling 22–25 GW across India, among which projects of 8–10 GW have entered advanced development stages.

The company is also ramping up exports and prioritising the European market as another core growth pillar. It recently launched the BlueSky turbine platform in Spain, officially re-entering Europe and other global markets with the S144 and S163 models, while expanding businesses in turbine repowering and new wind farm projects overseas. Kapoor noted that Suzlon has drawn strong interest from numerous international developers and power utilities.

Suzlon remains upbeat about the long-term prospects of India’s wind power sector. The country’s new wind installations exceeded 6 GW in fiscal 2026, hitting the highest level since fiscal 2017. The figure is projected to reach 8 GW in fiscal 2027, 10 GW in fiscal 2028, and potentially 15 GW annually by fiscal 2030–2031.
