Danish wind power giant Vestas has lost another senior executive, as a senior director in charge of supplier quality has announced his resignation.

Engin Yokus shared via social media that he will leave Denmark for Lucerne, Switzerland, to join Carrier, the US multinational specialising in ventilation and heating solutions.

Yokus served four years at Vestas’ headquarters in Aarhus, most recently as Global Head of Supplier Quality for the nacelle segment.

Throughout his tenure at Vestas, he joined as Global Director of Quality and Development, initially leading the global powertrain division. He built the team from scratch, driving performance enhancement and product reliability. A year later, he was promoted to Senior Director of Global Supplier Quality and Development, overseeing a €4 billion business portfolio covering both onshore and offshore wind operations.

In his farewell remarks, Yokus said he “thanked all colleagues and partners who joined him on this journey, and all that we have achieved together”. Before joining Vestas, he spent 14 years at Germany’s Bosch, with assignments in Türkiye, Russia and the United States.

Notably, Vestas has seen a flurry of personnel moves recently. The company just poached executive Anna Mascolo from Shell to serve as President of Northern & Central Europe and Global Offshore President. It also rehired a chief project manager who previously held positions at Siemens Gamesa and Ørsted. On the other hand, two senior managers from the procurement and offshore support teams have also departed.

The frequent executive turnover comes against the backdrop of Vestas’ organisational restructuring, as the company enters a critical phase of onshore business recovery and offshore transformation.
